Scott’s thoughts:

“Round 5 onboard the Rosewood Bespoke Joinery Honda and I’d call it a positive one.

It was a hard start to the weekend again at another new track on the new bike with no data to go off but we weren’t far away and I am pretty happy with our progress over the weekend.

Qualifying p5.

Race 1 p4, I got a good start and tried my best to hang onto the leading group, but I struggled with a problem I’d had all weekend and racing with the guys highlighted it even more.

Race 2 DNF. Honestly, I’m really happy with the final race of the weekend, I tried something really different for warmup that morning and I knew it was moving in the right direction towards the feeling I like. I hung onto the leading group, a small gap appeared and I was able to bring it right in again and felt strong, but sadly I had a technical problem with 3 laps to go. I felt something different, a gap appeared and then starting the 2nd last lap, the bike completely shut down. These things happen and it’s racing and of no one’s fault in the team.  I honestly think it’s the first technical problem I’ve ever had and there’s nothing the lads could have done about it.

Another weekend of digging in and trying to find what’s right for me and I can honestly say I feel a lot better leaving the track this weekend than I have yet so that’s a positive. Thank you to Rosewood Bespoke Joinery and everyone else that’s behind me this year to make it possible and to my small team that always keeps me safe and moving forward. Welcome to Symes Wealth Management for coming onboard as a personal sponsor in the last month, too – thank you, Scott!

Looking forward to the next one…..”
