Race Reports

23 Jun 2026

Scott's thoughts: Starting with a quick look back, I didn’t even bother posting a report from Donington as I was deeply upset by our results and to be honest, it took me a while to get my head straight, rebuild and change my mindset following a difficult weekend – sorry! What I did learn from Donington was that we needed more track time, so we booked onto the pre-BSB practice day at Knockhill to get some time riding the bike without the pressure of race conditions. It was nice to test having the time to reflect and adjust and then make the changes needed to setup. We therefore arrived at Knockhill in far better shape than we had done at the previous rounds. The biggest thing for me was a shift in my entire mindset. I worked on rebuilding my confidence and not worrying about what anyone else was thinking. Instead, I concentrated on being the old me, being myself and enjoying the experience! Having a smile on my face definitely helped me relax and perform.
So, onto Knockhill. First impressions: YES!!! BACK IN THE GAME!! We started strong in a wet Friday practice and for the first time this year I found the bike, with a new map and setup, was working well under me and I had the feeling coming back to me that I need to push. In dry qualifying I was extremely motivated but also extremely calm and I put the bike on pole which was a huge confidence boost. I was feeling like I could do anything I wanted to the bike and put it where I wanted it to be, not the other way around.
Race 1: I was, again, incredibly motivated and keen to win and we started from pole and got the holeshot then led the race up to the point where the safety car came out. I wanted to follow someone after the restart and as Luke Mossey got the jump on me and got ahead of me into turn 1, I sat behind him. Knowing where I was stronger, I then made my move as he came across back markers and led the race to the win, with the fastest lap. This was a massive boost for me and the team; I can’t quite express what it means to me after such a tough winter and having pulled the team together at the very last minute. So pleased.
Race 2: after leading the warmup I was confident for another strong race with some setup changes allowing me to brake harder. I tried my best, but the hotter weather was affecting front end grip, and I was tucking the front everywhere, so I backed it off to finish 3rd. A strong result, a second podium of the weekend and a significant lift in the championship standings. It’s so nice to be back on the podium after being let down at the end of last season. It means so much to me and my team.
Overall, Knockhill has put me back where I want to be and where I know I can be for the rest of this season. We have a real chance to fight for the championship, and I can’t wait for the next round. I want to thank those closest to me for their trust in me and their support through a tough winter. Dad, Mick, Fergie, Dave, Paul, Jamie and my new title sponsor Rosewood Bespoke Joinery. All of my other sponsors too – it all matters and it all makes a huge difference. The fun and the confidence are back in me, so let’s keep this going into Snetterton!!
